Accountant – Full‑time Permanent Position

About the role

Audi Waterford is seeking an experienced, commercially‑focused Accountant to join its growing team. You will manage day‑to‑day financial operations across sales, aftersales and parts, supporting the dealership’s financial performance.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare monthly management accounts and financial reports
• Assist with year‑end accounts and external audit processes
• Reconcile balance‑sheet control accounts each month
• Supervise creditors, debtors and sales‑ledger functions
• Manage cash flow, banking and payroll processes
• Process and reconcile vehicle stock transactions
• Maintain accurate vehicle and financial records in the dealer management system
• Liaise with finance companies, vehicle suppliers and manufacturer representatives
• Monitor rebates, commissions, warranty allocations and dealership margins
• Prepare sales and performance reports for management
• Support departmental managers with financial analysis and operational reporting
• Ensure compliance with VAT, revenue and statutory reporting requirements
• Assist in maintaining strong internal controls and financial procedures

Required profile

• Fully qualified Accountant (ACA, ACCA, CPA or CIMA)
• Minimum 5 years accounting experience in a retail environment
• Strong financial reporting and commercial accounting experience
• Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills
• Strong communication and interpersonal abilities
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities
• Strong Excel and IT systems knowledge
