Accounting Manager - Controllership

About the role

Optum is seeking an Accounting Manager to join its Controllership team in Ireland. You will ensure accurate, complete, and reliable financial reporting for multiple entities across a multi‑currency, multi‑geography environment.

Key responsibilities

• Lead month‑end and quarter‑end close processes for assigned entities.
• Prepare, post, and review journal entries and balance‑sheet reconciliations.
• Perform detailed profit‑and‑loss and balance‑sheet analysis, including variance analysis and forecasting.
• Deliver Optum Global Advantage (OGA) reporting across several geographies, meeting all deadlines.
• Maintain a robust control environment, ensuring SOX compliance and documentation of accounting processes.
• Support audit activities by providing well‑supported financial information.

Required profile

• Strong technical accounting knowledge with experience in statutory and management reporting.
• Ability to manage competing priorities and meet tight deadlines.
• Experience working in multi‑entity, multi‑currency, and multi‑geography environments.
• Understanding of SOX requirements and internal control frameworks.
