Advanced Nurse Practitioner – Emergency Department

About the role

The Advanced Nurse Practitioner (ANP) will join the Emergency Department team to enhance patient experience and outcomes for non‑life‑threatening injuries and illnesses. Working autonomously, the ANP will lead a nurse‑focused service and support the professional development of ED nurses.

Key responsibilities

• Improve patient experience and ensure optimal clinical outcomes within the ANP scope of practice.
• Develop and deliver a nurse‑led service for specific patient groups presenting with non‑critical conditions.
• Foster autonomous nursing practice through reflective practice and problem‑solving.
• Provide academic and professional development support to Emergency Department nursing staff.

Required profile

• Registered Advanced Nurse Practitioner qualified to practice in an Emergency Department.
• Demonstrated ability to work independently and make clinical decisions.
• Strong reflective practice and problem‑solving skills.
• Commitment to continuous learning and mentorship of junior staff.
