AI Architect

About the role

Marsh’s AI Center of Excellence is seeking an AI Architect to shape the adoption of emerging AI technologies across the global enterprise. You will own end‑to‑end areas of the AI platform architecture, evaluate new capabilities, and define integration patterns with Marsh’s existing systems.

Key responsibilities

• Design and own domain‑specific AI platform architecture, ensuring seamless integration with current technology landscape.
• Drive technology evaluation of emerging AI solutions such as large language models, memory systems, agentic frameworks, and guardrails, and define success criteria for proofs‑of‑concept.
• Collaborate with software engineers on PoCs, providing architectural guidance on integration, deployment topology, and roadmap alignment.
• Create and maintain high‑level integration diagrams, reference architectures, and technology radar documents to guide enterprise‑wide AI adoption.
• Produce architecture documentation usable by both human engineers and AI coding agents.
• Present and contribute to Marsh’s Architecture Council, Development Council, and business unit forums.
• Coach peers within the AI CoE, sharing architectural thinking and domain knowledge.

Required profile

• Professional experience in software engineering, architecture, or technical design with a proven record of influencing design decisions.
• Strong understanding of cloud‑native architecture across AWS, Azure, and GCP.
• Hands‑on experience with AI coding platforms and copilots such as GitHub Copilot and Claude Code.
• Ability to evaluate emerging AI technologies and translate them into practical enterprise solutions.
