Apprenticeship – Lift & Escalator Service Engineer

About the role

Start your engineering career with KONE as an Apprentice in lift and escalator service. You will gain hands‑on experience on live sites, work alongside experienced engineers and attend college for a nationally‑recognised qualification.

Key responsibilities

• Shadow and assist senior engineers on various customer sites.
• Perform service visits, minor repairs and routine maintenance on lifts and escalators.
• Interact with customers, addressing their queries efficiently.
• Attend college 1‑2 days per week to study for NVQ level 3 qualifications.

Required profile

• At least 18 years old by 1 September 2026.
• Basic qualifications in Maths and English.
• Practical, hands‑on approach with strong logical thinking and time‑management.
• Good communication and customer‑service skills.
• Willingness to obtain a driving licence within the first two years.
