About the role
The Assistant Manager / Sr Executive – Admission & Settlement ensures smooth, accurate, and timely patient admission, bed allocation, documentation, and financial clearance across multiple payer types. Working closely with nursing, billing, and clinical teams, you will guide patients and attendants through the admission process while adhering to hospital SOPs and NABH standards.
Key responsibilities
- Handle admission and settlement for planned, emergency, and transfer cases across Cash, TPA, Insurance, Corporate, PSU, CGHS & ECHS.
- Verify patient identity, demographics, consultant details, and admission documents in the HIS.
- Coordinate bed allocation, admission, and discharge confirmation with nursing, bed‑management, billing, and clinical departments.
- Explain admission procedures, estimates, packages, deposits, and payer eligibility to patients/attendants.
- Collect required financial documents, authorisation letters, insurance cards, and consent forms.
- Ensure correct tariff selection, payer mapping, package allocation, and billing category updates in the HIS.
- Maintain admission records and documentation for audit and compliance.
- Address patient/attendant queries and provide guidance on admission and settlement processes.
Required profile
- Graduate, preferably in Healthcare/Hospital Management or Commerce.
- Minimum 2 years experience in hospital admission or front‑office operations, ideally in a multi‑specialty setting.
- Strong knowledge of admission, settlement, and patient registration processes.
- Understanding of Cash, TPA, Insurance, Corporate, PSU, CGHS & ECHS protocols.
- Hands‑on experience with Hospital Information System (HIS) and patient registration tools.
- Basic computer proficiency and MS Excel knowledge.
- Ability to manage emergency situations and high patient flow.
