About the role
Trinity College Dublin’s School of Medicine seeks an early‑career researcher to join as a tenure‑track Assistant Professor in Physiology. The successful candidate will become a full member of the academic staff, contributing to both teaching and research in a collaborative, international environment.
Key responsibilities
- Deliver undergraduate and postgraduate teaching within the Discipline of Physiology.
- Develop and supervise interdisciplinary curricula, student projects and mentorship programmes.
- Establish an independent research programme that complements existing initiatives.
- Participate in collaborative research projects across the School of Medicine and affiliated institutes.
- Engage with state‑of‑the‑art facilities at the Trinity Biomedical Research Institute and the Institute of Neuroscience.
Required profile
- Ph.D. in Physiology or a closely related field.
- Strong academic record with peer‑reviewed publications.
- Demonstrated potential for excellence in research and teaching.
- Ability to work effectively in a multidisciplinary, international team.
