Assistant Professor – Physiology (Tenure‑Track)

About the role

Trinity College Dublin’s School of Medicine seeks an early‑career researcher to join as a tenure‑track Assistant Professor in Physiology. The successful candidate will become a full member of the academic staff, contributing to both teaching and research in a collaborative, international environment.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver undergraduate and postgraduate teaching within the Discipline of Physiology.
• Develop and supervise interdisciplinary curricula, student projects and mentorship programmes.
• Establish an independent research programme that complements existing initiatives.
• Participate in collaborative research projects across the School of Medicine and affiliated institutes.
• Engage with state‑of‑the‑art facilities at the Trinity Biomedical Research Institute and the Institute of Neuroscience.

Required profile

• Ph.D. in Physiology or a closely related field.
• Strong academic record with peer‑reviewed publications.
• Demonstrated potential for excellence in research and teaching.
• Ability to work effectively in a multidisciplinary, international team.
