About the role
The Assistant Restaurant Manager will support the Restaurant Manager in delivering a seamless, high‑end dining experience at The Grace Westport Estate. This full‑time, on‑site position focuses on guest satisfaction, operational efficiency, and team development within a luxury hotel restaurant.
Key responsibilities
- Assist in creating memorable, personalised guest experiences and handle special requests or concerns with professionalism.
- Coordinate front‑of‑house activities such as reservations, seating flow, table management and maintain impeccable dining area standards.
- Supervise, train and mentor service staff, lead pre‑service briefings and support recruitment and onboarding.
- Help manage labour costs, rota scheduling, payroll alignment and front‑of‑house inventory, ordering and cost‑control.
- Stay updated on menu items, wine pairings and seasonal specials, and promote new offerings in collaboration with F&B leadership.
- Ensure compliance with food hygiene, liquor licensing and operational SOPs, maintaining accurate records for audits.
Required profile
- 2‑3 years of supervisory or assistant management experience in a luxury or fine‑dining environment.
- Strong leadership presence, excellent communication and a guest‑focused attitude.
- Fluent in English; additional languages are a plus.
- Eligibility to work in Ireland.
Required skills
- Experience with reservation platforms.
- Proficiency in point‑of‑sale (POS) systems.
- Solid knowledge of wine and beverage service (certification advantageous).
