Assistant Tax Manager – R&D Tax Compliance

About the role

CBTax is seeking an Assistant Tax Manager to join its fast‑growing Dublin office. You will own the day‑to‑day management of Irish R&D tax claims, ensuring each submission is accurate, compliant and delivered on time.

Key responsibilities

• Review R&D claim expenditure against relevant legislation.
• Perform benefit calculations for each client.
• Send submission instructions to clients and their accountants.
• Liaise with clients and accountants to ensure seamless Revenue submissions.
• Manage the pre‑notification process, guaranteeing timely and accurate form filing.
• Chase and manage CT1 submissions and related compliance activities.
• Advise clients on technical tax queries as the primary point of contact.

Required profile

• ATT or CTA qualification.
• Experience at Assistant Manager/Manager level or a senior associate ready to step up.
• Background in tax compliance, preferably with exposure to R&D.
• Strong attention to detail and high accuracy.
• Well‑organised with the ability to handle a high volume of work and meet deadlines.
• Confident in dealing directly with clients and their accountants.
