Audience Engagement and Communications Coordinator

About the role

PhotoIreland is seeking an Audience Engagement and Communications Coordinator to join its passionate team. This full‑time position will support the organisation’s mission to develop photography and visual culture across Ireland and internationally. The role blends administrative duties with leadership in communications and community outreach.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and implement communications plans that promote PhotoIreland’s programmes, exhibitions and publications.
• Produce clear, accessible content for web, social media, newsletters and press releases.
• Coordinate audience engagement activities, workshops and events, ensuring inclusive participation.
• Maintain relationships with artists, partners, stakeholders and diverse community groups.
• Support administrative functions across departments, including scheduling, reporting and budget tracking.

Required profile

• Organised, proactive administrator with strong written and verbal communication abilities.
• Demonstrated commitment to inclusive cultural participation and community building.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and work collaboratively in a dynamic environment.
