Backend Developer – Python, AI Infrastructure (Remote Europe)

About the role

Oraion is seeking a technically sharp Backend Developer to build the scalable, high‑performance systems that power its AI‑ready platform. You will work remotely across Europe, collaborating with ML engineers and frontend developers to deliver robust AI infrastructure.

Key responsibilities

• Design and develop Python‑based backend services using Django and Flask to support AI/ML workflows.
• Implement and maintain RESTful APIs for LangChain‑powered AI components and client‑facing services.
• Build and optimise asynchronous processing pipelines with Celery and Django Channels.
• Apply attribute‑based access control (ABAC) to ensure fine‑grained data security.
• Containerise services with Docker and manage CI/CD pipelines for AWS deployments.
• Contribute performance‑critical components written in Rust.
• Collaborate with React frontend teams on API integration.

Required profile

• 5+ years of professional Python backend development experience.
• Strong expertise with Django and/or Flask frameworks.
• Proven experience with PostgreSQL performance optimisation.
• Hands‑on knowledge of ABAC permission systems.
• Experience with asynchronous Python, Celery, and Django Channels.
• Familiarity with ETL/ELT tools such as dlt and Dagster.
• Solid background deploying containerised applications on AWS.
