Bilingual Incident Management Engineer – AWS Incident Detection & Response

About the role

Amazon Web Services (AWS) is seeking a bilingual Incident Management Engineer to join the Incident Detection and Response team. You will work 24x7 with enterprise customers, providing rapid incident detection, communication, and resolution for critical workloads.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor onboarded workloads around the clock and engage customers within 5 minutes of a critical alarm.
• Develop and maintain customized runbooks and response plans for each workload.
• Lead incident communication, emergency response, and technical resolver engagement.
• Drive the resolution of high‑severity incidents and ensure timely recovery of customer services.
• Collaborate with customers and internal teams to improve incident processes and reduce failure risk.

Required profile

• Strong analytical and problem‑solving abilities with a proven track record of delivering results.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in both English and Spanish.
• Self‑starter capable of operating tactically and strategically with high attention to detail.
• Leadership presence and the ability to work with stakeholders at all organizational levels.
• Passion for technology, continuous learning, and delivering world‑class customer experiences.

Required skills

• Fluency in English and Spanish.
• Incident Management and Incident Detection experience.
• Hands‑on knowledge of AWS cloud services.
• Runbook development and technical troubleshooting.
• Experience with 24x7 monitoring and emergency response processes.
