About the role
This freelance position supports AI testing projects by creating computational biology challenges that require Python programming. The work is project‑based, remote, and estimated at 10‑20 hours per week during active phases.
Key responsibilities
- Design original computational biology problems that mimic real research workflows.
- Create Python‑based tasks using libraries such as NumPy, SciPy, BioPython, and Pandas.
- Ensure problems are computationally intensive and cannot be solved manually within reasonable timeframes.
- Develop challenges that need non‑trivial reasoning in bioinformatics, systems biology, or molecular modeling.
- Base tasks on genuine research questions or practical applications from biology.
- Validate solutions with Python code and standard computational biology libraries.
- Document problem statements clearly and provide verified correct answers.
Required profile
- Degree in Biology or a related field.
- Proficiency in Python for numerical validation.
- At least 2 years of professional experience (research, applied work, or teaching).
- Experience with biological data analysis and algorithms.
- Familiarity with bioinformatics tools and computational methods.
- Strong written English (C1 level or higher).
