Bioprocess Engineer – Large Molecule Manufacturing

About the role

We are seeking a Bioprocess Engineer to support large‑molecule manufacturing for a leading biotech company in South Cork. The role is a 12‑month fixed‑term contract with hybrid working, reporting into the process engineering team.

Key responsibilities

• Provide engineering support to large‑molecule manufacturing, applying process and chemical engineering fundamentals.
• Identify and implement continuous‑improvement initiatives for equipment and processes.
• Conduct root‑cause analysis on process and equipment issues and deliver corrective and preventive actions.
• Monitor, assess and document equipment performance to maintain qualification status.
• Develop and uphold safety standards for process equipment, acting as a safety champion within the team.
• Collaborate with automation and maintenance departments to troubleshoot equipment and drive performance improvements.

Required profile

• Honours degree in Process/Chemical Engineering or Bioprocess/Biochemical Engineering.
• 3‑5 years of experience in small‑ or large‑molecule manufacturing unit operations.
• Experience in API or small‑molecule manufacturing is advantageous; training will be provided for large‑molecule processes.
