Board Committee Member – Fundraising & Public Engagement

About the role

Trócaire is seeking a senior professional to join its Ireland Fundraising and Public Engagement Committee for a three‑year term. The role is voluntary and involves strategic oversight of the organisation’s brand, fundraising and public engagement across Ireland.

Key responsibilities

• Governance: oversee strategic direction and implementation of Trócaire’s global brand, public engagement and fundraising in Ireland.
• Advisory: provide strategic advice to the Director of Ireland Programmes.
• Participate in temporary task‑and‑complete teams on high‑risk or emerging strategic topics.
• Attend at least four committee meetings per year, in a hybrid format.

Required profile

• Senior leadership experience in a commercial, marketing, brand or communications environment with strong knowledge of the Irish market.
• Proven track record of delivering growth, marketing, brand or customer‑engagement strategies.
• Experience using consumer or audience insights to drive organisational performance.
• Ability to influence and collaborate with senior executives, boards and external partners.
• Commitment to social justice, human rights and the ethos of Trócaire.
