Business Analyst – Fund Accounting & Assets

About the role
We are seeking a Business Analyst with fund accounting and asset‑management experience to join our banking team in Dublin. The role serves as a critical bridge between business stakeholders, operations, and technology delivery groups, driving requirements definition, process design, and system implementation for complex fund administration and client‑onboarding initiatives.
Key responsibilities
- Elicit, document, and manage detailed business and functional requirements from front‑, middle‑, and back‑office stakeholders.
- Produce high‑quality artefacts such as BRDs, FRDs, user stories, use cases, data‑flow diagrams, and process maps using Visio, Confluence, or JIRA.
- Conduct gap analysis between current‑state and target‑state operating models, identifying risks, dependencies, and mitigation strategies.
- Facilitate workshops, sprint ceremonies, and stakeholder reviews to validate requirements.
- Support core fund‑accounting functions including NAV calculation, trade capture, position reconciliation, income processing, corporate actions, and financial reporting.
- Assist technology implementations or upgrades of fund‑accounting platforms (e.g., SimCorp Dimension, Geneva, InvestOne, Advent, Charles River).
- Define and validate accounting rules, booking logic, and P&L attribution models.
- Analyse data flows between OMS, PMS, custodians, and fund‑accounting systems.
- Lead end‑to‑end client‑onboarding workflow design, covering KYC/AML, account setup, legal documentation, and data provisioning.
- Define integration requirements between CRM/onboarding tools (Salesforce, Fenergo, SSIS) and downstream fund‑administration systems.
- Identify automation opportunities and support RPA or workflow‑tooling implementations.
Required profile
- Proven experience in fund accounting or asset‑management within a banking environment.
- Strong analytical and documentation skills with the ability to translate business needs into technical specifications.
- Experience working with cross‑functional teams including compliance, legal, operations, and technology.
