About the role
We are seeking a Business Development Manager to drive growth for a leading European distributor of data cabling and network infrastructure solutions across Ireland. Based in Dublin with nationwide travel, the role combines field‑based client engagement with strategic sales planning.
Key responsibilities
- Identify and develop new business opportunities throughout Ireland.
- Build and maintain relationships with electrical contractors, consultants and channel partners.
- Promote and support specification of key product lines in commercial, industrial and data‑centre projects.
- Drive sales growth and achieve revenue targets, including base salary and OTE.
- Contribute to commercial strategy, market expansion and pipeline management using CRM tools.
- Provide market insights and regular reporting to the Sales Director.
Required profile
- 3‑5+ years of experience in electrical, data networking or technical B2B sales.
- Proven track record in business development and external sales.
- Strong knowledge of the Irish electrical contractor market and channel distribution models.
- Excellent communication, negotiation and relationship‑building abilities.
- Full, valid driving licence.
Required skills
- Experience using CRM systems for pipeline tracking.
What we offer
- Competitive base salary €60,000‑€70,000 per year.
- On‑target earnings €30,000‑€40,000.
