Cardiology Registrar – Private Healthcare

About the role

Mater Private Network is seeking a qualified Cardiology Registrar to join its team from July 2026. This position offers the chance to work within a leading Irish private healthcare network while advancing your clinical expertise in a supportive environment.

Key responsibilities

• Assist and learn under consultants, providing direct patient care.
• Admit patients, attend ward rounds, and manage patient transitions.
• Participate in training sessions aligned with personal education goals, including work in the cardiac catheter laboratory and cardiac imaging.
• Review patients regularly, document findings, and communicate concerns.
• Handle patient discharges, manage adverse events, and contribute to quality improvement initiatives.
• Educate colleagues, uphold professional standards, and support the Cardiology team with additional duties as required.

Required profile

• Medical degree (MBBS or equivalent).
• Current registration with the Irish Medical Council.
• Demonstrable experience at Registrar level in an acute hospital setting.
• Experience working in an Irish healthcare environment is desirable.
• Commitment to evidence‑based practice and ability to work within a multidisciplinary team.
