Caseworker – Protection

About the role

The International Organization for Migration (IOM) is seeking a Caseworker – Protection to support Beneficiaries of Temporary Protection (BOTP) across Ireland. The role focuses on individuals living in state‑provided accommodation who face barriers to independence, delivering protection‑oriented case management.

Key responsibilities

• Provide individualized casework for BOTP beneficiaries, including vulnerability assessments and needs identification.
• Refer clients to appropriate support services and monitor follow‑up.
• Support programme activities aimed at enhancing independence for beneficiaries in state accommodation.
• Maintain accurate case records and contribute to programme reporting.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Political or Social Sciences, International Relations, Development Studies, Migration Studies, Human Rights, Law or a related field with at least three years relevant professional experience, OR a high‑school diploma with five years relevant experience.
• Strong understanding of migration, protection and humanitarian contexts.
• Ability to work collaboratively with governmental, inter‑governmental and non‑governmental partners.
