Casualty Claims Adjuster

About the role

The Casualty Claims Adjuster will manage a portfolio of EL, PL, product liability and commercial motor fleet claims from notification through to conclusion. This role involves close collaboration with brokers, policyholders and internal stakeholders to ensure timely, accurate claim resolution.

Key responsibilities

• Handle claims end‑to‑end, including appointing investigators and expert witnesses.
• Instruct defence solicitors on litigated claims and attend court when required.
• Work closely with brokers and AIG policyholders to resolve claims and conduct client review meetings.
• Reserve accurately in line with AIG’s reserving philosophy and communicate with internal stakeholders.

Required profile

• Experience in motor bodily injury/liability claims handling.
• Basic knowledge of legal, regulatory and litigation requirements for this line of business.
• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Effective time‑management and ability to prioritize workload.
• Proven ability to build relationships with clients and brokers.
