About the role
The Centre Attendant provides a welcoming first point of contact for visitors and ensures the centre operates safely and efficiently. Working on a flexible shift pattern of 20‑25 hours per week, the role combines reception duties with basic facility maintenance.
Key responsibilities
- Act as the primary contact for centre enquiries and greet customers and visitors.
- Hold the key and manage opening and closing of the centre in line with security procedures.
- Maintain security of the premises, answer telephone calls and handle messages politely.
- Record visitor sign‑ins and footfall, keep leaflets and timetables up to date.
- Perform general cleaning and maintenance of the centre and its grounds.
- Prepare and issue monthly invoices for user groups.
- Set up rooms as required and ensure health‑and‑safety policies are followed.
- Report and record accidents or incidents promptly.
Required profile
- Flexibility to work varied hours, including weekends.
- Previous experience in a similar reception or facilities role.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills.
- Positive, friendly attitude with a strong ‘can‑do’ mindset.
- Reliable attendance record.
Required skills
- Computer literacy.
