Change Communications Manager

About the role

Primark is seeking a Change Communications Manager to lead the development and execution of strategic communication plans that support large‑scale change and transformation programmes across the business. The role works closely with senior leaders, project teams and regional communication partners to ensure clear, consistent and compelling messaging that drives colleague engagement and supports organisational change.

Key responsibilities

• Design and deliver multi‑channel communication strategies for major change initiatives, aligning with business objectives, company values and market localisation requirements.
• Shape and maintain a consistent transformation narrative in partnership with External Communications, Public Affairs, regional leaders and in‑market communication teams.
• Advise senior leaders on change communications, facilitating discussions on progress, risks and organisational readiness.
• Collaborate with People & Culture, Strategy, Change and Transformation teams to align training and communication activities.
• Create communication frameworks, tools, playbooks and reusable assets to strengthen change capability.
• Measure and report on communication effectiveness, providing insight‑driven recommendations to executive sponsors.
• Coach senior leaders, people managers and project sponsors on effective communication during change and participate in steering groups and governance forums.
• Lead and mentor junior team members and support crisis communications and business resilience activities as needed.

Required profile

• 5–8 years of experience in communications, focusing on global, large‑scale change and transformation programmes.
• Proven ability to operate in complex, fast‑moving environments such as retail or FMCG.
• Strong stakeholder management and influencing skills, with experience advising senior leaders.
• Analytical mindset with the ability to distil complex information into clear, actionable messages.
• Prosci Change Management certification or equivalent qualification is desirable but not essential.

Required skills
