About the role
The Health Service Executive (HSE) Mid West is recruiting a Clinical Nurse Specialist (Mental Health) to deliver specialist nursing care across Limerick, Tipperary and Clare. This permanent position offers both part‑time and whole‑time options and is classified under Grade 2625.
Key responsibilities
- Provide expert mental health nursing assessment, treatment planning and direct care to service users.
- Lead and support multidisciplinary teams in delivering high‑quality mental health services.
- Develop and implement clinical pathways, policies and service improvement initiatives.
- Supervise, mentor and educate junior nursing staff and students.
- Conduct audits, contribute to research and ensure compliance with national standards.
Required profile
- Registered General Nurse with specialist registration in mental health nursing.
- Significant experience in mental health clinical practice within the Irish health system.
- Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively in multidisciplinary environments.
- Strong knowledge of HSE policies, legislation and best practice guidelines.
- Excellent communication and leadership skills.
