Communications Manager

About the role

The Central Remedial Clinic (CRC) is embarking on a major organisational repositioning and needs a visionary Communications Manager to define its national voice on disability, rights and inclusion. This senior role will lead the creation of an integrated communications function from the ground up.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and execute a comprehensive communications strategy aligned with the 2025‑2030 Strategy.
• Lead media engagement, narrative building and national campaigning.
• Manage stakeholder relationships with the HSE, Government, NGOs and disability organisations.
• Oversee strategic projects, departmental budgets and external creative agencies.
• Act as the organisational spokesperson and guide communications during periods of change.

Required profile

• Degree‑level qualification; communications‑related discipline desirable.
• Proven senior communications experience in complex, change‑driven environments.
• Strong understanding of the Irish media, healthcare and political landscape.
• Demonstrated success in media engagement, issue framing and national campaigning.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills; experienced spokesperson.
• Ability to build high‑value partnerships across diverse stakeholders.
• Strategic thinker with solid project, budget and team‑leadership capabilities.
