Communications & Public Affairs Manager

About the role

Vodafone Ireland is looking for a senior Communications & Public Affairs Manager to shape its external reputation. You will lead an integrated strategy that combines PR, communications and public affairs, delivering a consistent narrative to media, policymakers, partners and the public.

Key responsibilities

• Define and execute a joined‑up communications, PR and public affairs strategy aligned with business and policy priorities.
• Lead proactive storytelling, stakeholder engagement and issue management to strengthen Vodafone’s reputation.
• Own the annual reputation plan, coordinating campaigns, policy communications and media engagement.
• Collaborate with Public Affairs colleagues to communicate policy positions and advocacy priorities.
• Design and deliver PR and communications campaigns, working with agencies to secure earned media, thought leadership and influencer activity.
• Maintain national and regional media relationships and manage media relations in coordination with senior leadership.
• Oversee creation of high‑quality content such as press releases, speeches, LinkedIn posts, briefing notes and reports.
• Advise senior leaders on external narrative, stakeholder communications and reputational risk, and report on impact.

Required profile

• Minimum 5 years of experience in public relations, public affairs or corporate reputation management.
• Strong understanding of policy, regulatory and public affairs environments.
• Proven ability to translate complex technical, regulatory and commercial information into clear messaging.
• Experience managing agency relationships and delivering multi‑channel campaigns.
