Community Inclusion Manager

About the role

The Community Inclusion Manager provides operational leadership for a portfolio of Adult Day Service locations, ensuring that supports are safe, rights‑based and person‑centred. The role drives community participation for adults with intellectual disabilities, aligning services with the New Directions framework and individual preferences.

Key responsibilities

• Lead day‑service pathways and implement organisational priorities in partnership with the Service Operations Manager.
• Ensure services are delivered in a person‑centred, outcomes‑focused manner, promoting choice, autonomy and dignity.
• Oversee admissions, referrals, transitions and discharges, coordinating safe and timely pathways.
• Represent the service on local operational forums and working groups.
• Collaborate with individuals, families and decision‑supporters to set personalised goals and community inclusion plans.
• Implement New Directions and other national guidance to support community participation and valued social roles.

Required profile

• Proven experience in managing community inclusion or adult day services for people with intellectual disabilities.
• Strong understanding of rights‑based, person‑centred approaches and outcome‑focused service delivery.
• Ability to lead multidisciplinary teams and work collaboratively with families, guardians and external partners.
• Excellent communication and organisational skills.
