Community Liaison Officer – Fundraising & Volunteer Coordination

About the role

GOAL is seeking a proactive Community Liaison Officer to drive its flagship community fundraising initiatives such as GOAL Mile, Jersey Day and school‑based campaigns. The role will manage relationships with volunteers, schools and local partners, ensuring a high‑quality supporter experience while contributing to income growth.

Key responsibilities

• Serve as the primary contact for 200+ community and school fundraisers, building and maintaining relationships to boost engagement and retention.
• Develop and deliver fundraising toolkits, recruit new organisers and expand regional participation.
• Plan and support the operational delivery of GOAL Mile and Jersey Day, coordinating volunteers and monitoring targets.
• Manage supporter data in the Microsoft 365 CRM, create targeted email journeys and integrate digital fundraising platforms.
• Oversee online fundraising platforms, promote cashless fundraising options and assist with income reconciliation and reporting.
• Provide logistical support for community engagement activities and ensure compliance with data protection standards.

Required profile

• Experience working with schools, community groups and fundraising events.
• Proven volunteer management background.
• Good knowledge of the Irish fundraising landscape.
• Strong relationship‑building and communication skills.
• Valid driver’s licence and access to a vehicle.
