Company Accountant

About the role

Google is seeking a Company Accountant to manage core accounting responsibilities across its EMEA financial services portfolio. You will ensure compliance with statutory reporting, support new product launches, and drive efficiency through automation.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee the annual statutory financial statements and tax compliance process, including managing external audits and tax filings for Alphabet’s financial services companies in EMEA.
• Partner with cross‑functional business leaders to provide accounting support for new product development and market expansion.
• Identify and implement process improvement opportunities using AI, scripting, and automation tools to streamline financial reporting workflows.
• Perform regular in‑depth financial analysis to ensure data integrity and support high‑quality decision‑making.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance, or equivalent practical experience.
• Professional qualification such as CIMA, ACA, ACCA (or equivalent).
• Minimum 2 years of experience in finance or treasury, preferably on cross‑functional initiatives.
• Preferred CPA or Chartered Accountant certification.
• Experience with processes, controls, and financial reporting.
• Strong collaboration skills with international teams and ability to manage defined project tasks.
• Excellent attention to detail, organizational skills, and investigative abilities.
• Effective communication with executive management.
