Construction Manager (Mechanical) – Pharma Site

About the role

We are looking for a client‑side Construction Manager (Mechanical) to lead the installation of equipment at a pharmaceutical site. You will ensure that all construction activities are carried out safely, on schedule, within budget, and in full compliance with GMP, local regulations, and company standards.

Key responsibilities

• Act as the primary on‑site client representative, aligning contractors, consultants, and internal stakeholders.
• Collaborate with SHE, Facilities, and Operations teams to minimise disruption to ongoing production.
• Guarantee that construction works meet GMP, building regulations, and internal quality standards.
• Support validation and engineering teams with handover documentation.
• Promote a strong safety culture, conduct site safety walks, and ensure corrective actions are implemented.
• Provide regular progress reports covering safety, quality, schedule, risk, and cost.
• Lead weekly progress and coordination meetings, escalating issues when necessary.
• Facilitate handover to local site operations and obtain client sign‑off.

Required profile

• Degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture or a related discipline.
• 5+ years of construction management experience, preferably on pharmaceutical or biopharmaceutical sites.
• Proven track record delivering fit‑out and infrastructure upgrades in a live GMP environment.
• Strong knowledge of GMP, EHS legislation and construction best practices.
• Excellent communication, coordination and stakeholder‑management abilities.
