Construction Manager – Onshore Wind (Ireland)

About the role

We are seeking a Construction Manager to lead the delivery of utility‑scale onshore wind projects across Ireland. The role is site‑based and involves overseeing the full project lifecycle from early works through commissioning and handover.

Key responsibilities

• Take full ownership of on‑site construction delivery for large‑scale wind farm projects.
• Lead turbine erection and installation, preferably with Vestas, Nordex or Siemens Gamesa equipment.
• Drive commissioning phases to meet strict timelines and quality standards.
• Champion a strong HSE culture and ensure full compliance on site.
• Manage and coordinate contractors and subcontractors to deliver scope, budget and schedule.
• Oversee grid connection and interface activities with key stakeholders.
• Monitor progress, identify risks and implement proactive solutions.
• Support commercial and contractual discussions as needed.

Required profile

• 5+ years’ experience in onshore wind construction.
• Proven delivery of full‑cycle wind farm projects in Ireland, the UK or Europe.
• Experience with major OEMs such as Vestas, Nordex or Siemens Gamesa.
• Hands‑on leadership ability to drive performance and accountability on site.
• Solid knowledge of erection, commissioning and grid‑connection processes.
• Experience managing multidisciplinary teams and contractors.
• GWO certification (required); HV/AP experience (highly desirable).
• Engineering or construction qualification (preferred).
