About the role

We are seeking a Consultant Rheumatologist to join a hospital in Ireland on a 12‑month salary‑based contract. The position involves delivering specialist rheumatology services, supporting multidisciplinary care, and contributing to the department’s clinical excellence.

Key responsibilities

• Provide specialist rheumatology assessment, diagnosis and treatment to patients.
• Lead and collaborate within a diverse, multidisciplinary team to ensure coordinated care.
• Maintain and promote high standards of patient safety and quality of care.
• Participate in clinical governance activities and uphold departmental protocols.
• Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives within the rheumatology service.

Required profile

• Full active IMC Specialist Registration.
• Recent, demonstrable experience in rheumatology.
• Well‑developed interpersonal and leadership abilities.
• Strong commitment to delivering high‑quality patient care.
