About the role
As a Control Room Operator you will be the first line of response for incidents, accidents and emergencies across a 1,200 km network of motorways, tunnels and national roads managed on behalf of Transport Infrastructure Ireland. Working from the state‑of‑the‑art control centre in Dublin, you will use advanced traffic management tools to keep the network safe and moving.
Key responsibilities
- Monitor live feeds and traffic data to detect incidents and congestion.
- Coordinate emergency response with police, fire services, ambulance crews and contractors.
- Issue real‑time driver instructions via variable message signs, social media and other communication channels.
- Maintain accurate incident logs and produce detailed post‑event reports.
- Ensure all actions comply with ISO 55001, ISO 27001, ISO 9001, ISO 14001, ISO 45001 and ISO 50001 standards.
- Work a 4‑on‑4‑off shift pattern to provide 24/7 coverage.
Required profile
- Minimum 2 years of customer‑service or call‑centre experience.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work under pressure.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Proven ability to collaborate with diverse stakeholders.
- Organisational skills for managing logs and reports.
- Prior experience in a control‑room or traffic‑management environment is advantageous.
