Cost and Management Accountant – Finance

About the role

The Cost and Management Accountant will join Supermacs Group's Finance team, providing timely and accurate management accounts, cost analysis and financial reporting across the entire estate. This is a hands‑on, commercially focused position that works closely with site managers, division heads and senior leadership to turn operational data into actionable insight.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare monthly management accounts for all business units (QSR, Plaza, Hotels, Funworld, Franchise) to agreed deadlines.
• Produce consolidated Group management accounts and supporting schedules for review by the Financial Controller.
• Generate monthly P&L reports by site and division, including variance commentary versus budget and prior year.
• Develop and maintain KPI dashboards covering revenue, labour cost, food cost, gross margin and EBITDA.
• Ensure accuracy of the nominal ledger and month‑end journals, including accruals, pre‑payments and inter‑company adjustments.
• Lead food‑cost and waste analysis programmes, tracking actual percentages against targets.
• Analyse labour‑cost efficiency across the QSR and hospitality estate.

Required profile

• Proven experience in producing management accounts and cost analysis for multi‑unit businesses.
• Comfortable working with operational data and presenting clear, actionable insights.
• Strong analytical mindset with attention to detail.
• Ability to collaborate with site managers, division heads and senior leadership.
