Cost Business Process Center Team Leader

About the role

Trinseo is seeking a Cost Business Process Center (CBPC) Team Leader to oversee a globally distributed team that supports cost center management, budgeting, product costing, intercompany billing, and related financial processes. The role combines people leadership with deep expertise in cost accounting and internal controls.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and mentor CBPC team members located in Dublin and Shanghai, ensuring high‑quality output.
• Execute monthly CBPC job processes, including production variances, order settlements, product costing, and service billing.
• Perform month‑end closing activities and journal postings related to period close.
• Drive the annual budgeting timeline for the CBPC organization.
• Collaborate with Cost Accounting Managers to provide accurate reports and data.
• Identify and implement process improvements to enhance data accuracy and efficiency.
• Ensure SOX and internal control compliance for all CBPC processes and act as an approver where required.
• Participate in or lead special ad‑hoc projects as needed.

Required profile

• Proven experience leading a cost accounting or finance operations team.
• Strong understanding of global cost accounting processes and budgeting cycles.
• Knowledge of SOX requirements and internal control frameworks.
• Ability to work cross‑functionally and influence stakeholders.
• Excellent communication and mentorship skills.
