Cost & Management Accountant – Group Finance

About the role

Supermac's Group is seeking a Cost & Management Accountant to join its Group Finance team in Galway. Reporting to the Group Financial Controller, you will use your analytical expertise to turn numbers into actionable business decisions across a multi‑site hospitality operation.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare monthly management accounts, P&L statements and financial analysis for all business units.
• Analyse operational costs such as food, labour, waste and overheads.
• Develop and maintain KPI reporting that provides clear business insight.
• Support budgeting, forecasting and variance analysis processes.
• Partner with operational managers to improve cost control, profitability and margin performance.
• Identify and implement improvements to financial systems, controls and processes.

Required profile

• Fully qualified accountant (CIMA, ACCA, ACA or CPA).
• Minimum 3 years post‑qualification experience in management accounting.
• Strong analytical ability and capacity to explain financial data to non‑finance audiences.
• Working knowledge of Irish regulatory and tax environment (Revenue, VAT) is highly desirable.
• Experience in hospitality, retail or multi‑site environments is a plus.

Required skills

• Advanced Excel proficiency.
• Experience with accounting/ERP systems.
