Cross-Product Abuse Analyst, VE Egregious Harms Enforcement

About the role
Google’s Trust & Safety team protects users across its products by identifying and mitigating abuse. The Cross-Product Abuse Analyst for Violent Extremism (VE) Egregious Harms Enforcement will become a subject‑matter expert on violent extremist content, working across Search, Maps, Gmail, Google Ads and other services.
Key responsibilities
- Analyze large‑scale data sets to detect emerging threats and patterns of violent extremist abuse.
- Collaborate with engineering, product, legal and policy teams to design and implement enforcement strategies.
- Review graphic, controversial, and potentially offensive content to determine policy compliance.
- Build and maintain dashboards that surface key metrics and trends for senior stakeholders.
- Develop scalable processes for case handling and risk mitigation across multiple Google products.
Required profile
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience.
- At least 4 years of experience in data analytics, Trust & Safety, policy, or a related field.
- Strong analytical mindset with the ability to think strategically about emerging threats.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, capable of influencing cross‑functional teams.
- Detail‑oriented problem‑solver comfortable in a fast‑changing environment.
Required skills
- SQL for data extraction and manipulation.
- Experience building dashboards and visualizing data.
- Proficiency in a scripting or programming language (e.g., Python).
- Data collection, transformation, and analysis techniques.
