Customer Assistant (20-25 Hours)

About the role

Join Tesco’s team at M1 Retail Park as a Customer Assistant, working 20‑25 hours per week. You will be the front‑line face of the store, helping customers find products, answering queries and ensuring a pleasant shopping experience.

Key responsibilities

• Put customers first in every interaction, greeting and assisting them with a friendly attitude.
• Maintain product availability on the shop floor and in back‑room areas.
• Handle merchandise with care to preserve quality and presentation.
• Keep the store and back‑of‑house areas clean, tidy and safe.
• Follow Tesco’s policies, health and safety procedures, and department routines.
• Support colleagues in other departments when needed.

Required profile

• Enthusiastic about delivering natural, proactive customer service.
• Reliable, punctual and able to follow written or verbal instructions.
• Adaptable and resilient to changing business demands.
• Presentable, tidy and able to maintain a professional appearance.
