Customer Assistant – Retail Store

About the role

As a Customer Assistant in a Tesco store, you will be the front‑line face of the business, helping shoppers find what they need and ensuring a pleasant shopping experience. This role is based in Clondalkin and involves working on the shop floor and in back‑of‑house areas.

Key responsibilities

• Put the customer first in every interaction and provide friendly, proactive service.
• Maintain product availability by stocking shelves and handling merchandise with care.
• Keep the shop floor and back areas clean, tidy and safe at all times.
• Follow department routines, company policies and health‑and‑safety procedures.
• Support colleagues by covering other departments when needed.

• Reliable, punctual and able to work well as part of a team.
• Adaptable and resilient to changing business demands.
• Able to follow both verbal and written instructions.

Required skills

• Ability to follow instructions accurately.
