Customer Delivery Driver (Ardkeen)

About the role

As a Customer Delivery Driver for Tesco in Ardkeen you will be the first point of contact for shoppers receiving their online orders. The role combines hands‑on driving, loading and customer interaction, offering a varied day‑to‑day experience.

Key responsibilities

• Load the delivery van safely and check its roadworthiness before each shift.
• Follow the pre‑planned route and schedule to deliver groceries to customers’ homes.
• Present yourself in the Tesco uniform, greet customers by name and provide a friendly, courteous service.
• Drive responsibly, adhering to all traffic laws and company safety standards.
• Handle parcels with care, treating each delivery as if it were your own.

Required profile

• Valid Irish or EU driving licence (manual or automatic) held for at least 2 years with no more than 3 penalty points.
• Ability to stay calm under pressure and take initiative.
• Good sense of humour, personable and strong communication skills.
• Commitment to delivering an excellent home‑shopping experience.

Required skills

• Safe driving and basic vehicle maintenance awareness.
