Customer Service Assistant – Retail (Dungarvan)

About the role

You will deliver an outstanding customer experience in a fast‑paced retail environment, supporting the Shop Manager and team to keep the store running smoothly. The role combines front‑of‑house service, cash handling and occasional shop‑management duties.

Key responsibilities

• Assist the Shop Manager and Assistant Manager with daily store operations.
• Open and close the shop, ensuring all procedures are followed.
• Manage and guide the shop team in the absence of senior managers.
• Handle cash, accept bets and process transactions via betting terminals and the EPOS system.
• Maintain high presentation standards and ensure compliance with safety and social‑responsibility policies.
• Promote the brand and introduce customers to multi‑channel and online offerings.

Required profile

• Customer‑service oriented with strong integrity.
• Flexible to work 7 days a week and adapt to a dynamic shop environment.
• Excellent attention to detail, numeracy and cash‑handling abilities.
• Enthusiastic, reliable and able to work both independently and as part of a team.
• Interest in sports and betting, with a drive to progress within the company.

Required skills

• Proficiency with EPOS systems.
• Experience using betting terminals.
