Data Centre Security Officer

About the role

Securitas Security Services Ireland is seeking an experienced Data Centre Security Officer to protect a prestigious client’s facility in Grangecastle, Dublin 22. You will ensure the safety of people, assets and information by maintaining a secure environment and responding swiftly to incidents.

Key responsibilities

• Implement and follow Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) for life‑safety and emergency response.
• Manage access control, visitor and vehicle screening, and tailgating response.
• Patrol internal building areas, roof, perimeter and outbuildings.
• Monitor security systems, write incident reports and support audits.
• Escort asset deliveries, staff and contractors within the site.
• Coordinate with emergency services during drills and real incidents.
• Operate site‑specific specialist equipment and maintain accurate logs.

Required profile

• Previous experience in security or a similar protective role.
• Ability to work flexible hours, including nights, Sundays and public holidays.
• Willingness to up‑skill and undertake additional training as required.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook.
• Basic knowledge of ECDL (European Computer Driving Licence) – desirable.
• Familiarity with security system monitoring and access control equipment.

What we offer

• Fully flexible schedule – Monday to Sunday, minimum 36 hours/week.
• Hourly rate €21.67 base plus €20 night allowance and Sunday premium (composite €24.25/hr).
• Annual attainable salary of approximately €53,111.
