Data Scientist - Extensions

About the role

We are seeking a Data Scientist specialized in Extensions to join our partner’s AI team in Ireland. You will work on large‑scale structured data problems, improving predictive performance of tabular models for enterprise customers across multiple industries.

Key responsibilities

• Research and develop advanced data‑science methods for large structured datasets.
• Design, implement and maintain production‑grade Python components with emphasis on correctness and scalability.
• Analyze enterprise data characteristics and devise strategies to handle missing values, class imbalance, high‑cardinality features and distribution shifts.
• Design and run rigorous experiments, build benchmarks and evaluate model improvements using statistically sound methods.
• Collaborate with research, engineering and Applied AI teams to translate insights into product enhancements.
• Partner with Applied AI Engineers to validate approaches on real customer data and deliver deployable capabilities.
• Contribute to technical documentation, internal tooling and best‑practice guidelines.

Required profile

• 5+ years of experience in data science, machine learning or applied ML engineering.
• Proven ability to take research ideas from concept to production‑ready implementation.
• Strong analytical mindset with experience designing experiments and drawing rigorous conclusions from noisy data.
