Data Scientist (Python & SQL) - Freelance AI Trainer

About the role

Mindrift is looking for experienced data scientists to design and deliver AI training projects on a freelance basis. You will create realistic, end‑to‑end data‑science problems that simulate real‑world analytical workflows for leading tech companies.

Key responsibilities

• Design original computational problems covering data ingestion, cleaning, EDA, modeling, validation and deployment considerations.
• Develop Python‑based tasks using Pandas, NumPy, SciPy, scikit‑learn, Statsmodels, Matplotlib and Seaborn.
• Ensure problems are computationally intensive, deterministic and reproducible (fixed random seeds).
• Base scenarios on real business challenges such as customer analytics, risk assessment, fraud detection, forecasting and optimization.
• Incorporate big‑data processing and scalable approaches where appropriate.
• Validate solutions with standard statistical methods and provide clear documentation.

Required profile

• 5+ years of hands‑on data‑science experience with measurable business impact.
• Strong portfolio of completed projects or publications.
• Expertise in Python for data science and advanced statistical / machine‑learning techniques.
• Proficiency with SQL for data manipulation.
• Experience with GenAI technologies (LLMs, RAG, prompt engineering, vector databases) and MLOps practices.
• Familiarity with modern frameworks such as TensorFlow, PyTorch and LangChain.
• Excellent written English (C1+).
