Defect/Integration Engineer

About the role
Analog Devices' Limerick Defect/Integration team is looking for a motivated engineer to drive defect reduction and yield improvement across wafer fab layers. You will work in a fast‑growing environment as the fab expands its capacity.
Key responsibilities
- Lead defect reduction and yield improvement projects for assigned layers.
- Identify top Pareto items impacting defect density and collaborate with work centres to implement solutions.
- Use Statistical Process Control (SPC) to monitor inline defects, maintain control limits, and flag genuine issues.
- Detect excursions, respond quickly, contain issues, and implement preventive actions.
- Maintain and improve inspection recipes to maximize capture of relevant defects while minimizing nuisance detections.
Required profile
- Curious, agile, and flexible with strong problem‑solving and data‑analysis abilities.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously under tight timelines.
- Willingness to learn detailed process flows and how different layers and tools interact.
- Capability to read and interpret wafer cross‑sections (FIB, SEM, TEM, EDX).
Required skills
- Root‑cause analysis of complex technical challenges.
- Data mining with Klarity Defect, SAS, JMP, and ACE.
- Design of Experiments (DoE) for problem solving.
- Statistical Process Control (SPC) and general statistics knowledge.
- Python programming (bonus).
- Experience with FIB, SEM, TEM, and EDX analysis (bonus).
