Design Manager – Modular Construction

About the role

Vision Built, a Sisk Company, is seeking an experienced Design Manager to lead our modular and panelised construction design teams. You will ensure high‑quality design output, coordinate across departments, and deliver innovative solutions that meet client expectations.

Key responsibilities

• Manage and mentor internal and external design teams in a modular construction environment.
• Host and coordinate department meetings, ensuring directives are followed.
• Maintain design quality standards and review completed work.
• Collaborate with project managers, consultants, and clients to achieve design goals and delivery schedules.
• Develop and monitor design budgets, ensuring financial viability.
• Produce clear, high‑quality structural drawings and designs.
• Drive innovation and translate ideas into understandable concepts for stakeholders.
• Deliver training on new design developments and business guidelines.

Required profile

• Minimum 7 years’ experience in Tier 1 or Tier 2 contracting, modular construction, or design consultancy.
• NFQ Level 7 qualification in Architectural Technology, Civil & Structural Engineering, Architecture or equivalent.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Creative mindset with strong attention to detail.
• Strong organisational, time‑management and multi‑tasking abilities.

Required skills

• Proficiency in Revit.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD.
• Advanced use of MS Office applications.
