Despatch Evening Supervisor

About the role

Kepak Group is seeking an experienced Despatch Evening Supervisor to lead its evening shift at a meat processing facility in Ireland. The role involves overseeing the dispatch team, ensuring safe and efficient loading, and meeting customer delivery requirements during the evening hours.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and support the dispatch team to ensure safe, efficient daily operations.
• Coordinate order picking, loading, and despatch activities to meet customer requirements.
• Monitor stock movement, rotation, and inventory accuracy.
• Ensure export documentation and despatch paperwork are completed accurately and on time.
• Operate and oversee PPT, forklift, and shunter driving for loading and unloading trailers.
• Liaise with production, quality, and other departments to maintain smooth workflow.
• Manage day‑to‑day operational issues and resolve problems as they arise.
• Maintain high standards of housekeeping and organisation within the despatch area.
• Support staff performance, attendance, training, and holiday planning.
• Provide CGI cover when needed and identify continuous‑improvement opportunities.

Required profile

• Previous experience in meat production, preferably beef processing.
• Strong people‑management and communication skills.
• Target‑oriented approach with a commitment to confidentiality.
• Flexibility to work evening hours (Sunday to Thursday, 4 PM‑2 AM) and reliable private transport.
