Device Technician – Pharmaceutical Production

About the role

We are seeking a Device Technician to join a leading multinational pharmaceutical manufacturer in Sligo on a 6‑month contract. The role involves operating and maintaining a range of specialised equipment across day, evening and night shifts, supporting safe and compliant production.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and operate moulding, automated assembly, Pad Printing and manual assembly equipment.
• Troubleshoot day‑to‑day manufacturing issues affecting efficiency, safety or quality.
• Perform quality checks, label and pack components and finished products.
• Operate coordinate measuring equipment and other advanced metrology tools.
• Run fully automated, computer‑controlled systems, including robotic and vision technologies.
• Participate in New Product Introduction and improvement projects.
• Document all activities in line with GMP requirements.
• Provide cross‑training and support to team members.

Required profile

• Secondary School Leaving Cert or equivalent.
• Minimum 1 year experience with pharmaceutical manufacturing equipment.
• Basic proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word.
• Knowledge of EBR and TrackWise is desirable.
• Ability to undergo yearly vision and colour‑blindness testing.
