Director of Marketing (Maternity Contract)

About the role

The Doyle Collection is looking for a Director of Marketing on a maternity contract to lead the marketing strategy for The River Lee, a contemporary hotel in the heart of Cork. Reporting to the General Manager and Chief Marketing Officer, you will shape the brand narrative and drive commercial performance across rooms, food & beverage, and meetings & events.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and execute the overall marketing strategy to maximise revenue across all hotel segments.
• Manage the day‑to‑day marketing function, including leading the Marketing Executive.
• Plan and run integrated campaigns that align with The Doyle Collection brand.
• Define, monitor and analyse marketing KPIs to support commercial decisions.
• Collaborate with the General Manager and commercial teams to ensure marketing aligns with revenue targets.
• Oversee social media, ensuring consistent, on‑brand content.
• Direct content creation for photography, video and design.
• Lead relationships with PR agencies across domestic, European and US markets.
• Work with central digital teams to optimise website performance, SEO and paid media.
• Identify and secure partnerships to boost brand visibility and support the hotel’s repositioning towards the high‑end leisure market.

Required profile

• Proven senior marketing experience within hospitality or lifestyle brands.
• Strong commercial awareness with a track record of driving revenue through marketing.
• Experience managing integrated multi‑channel campaigns.
• Confident stakeholder manager capable of influencing senior leaders.
• Passion for brand storytelling and delivering high‑quality guest experiences.
