Director of Rooms

About the role

The Hoxton is seeking a Director of Rooms to champion the guest experience across its hotel portfolio. Working closely with the Head Housekeeper, you will ensure that every room and public space reflects the brand’s standards of style, cleanliness and comfort.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and inspire the housekeeping team, fostering a supportive and empowered environment.
• Maintain high standards for bedrooms and public areas through SOPs, training and regular inspections.
• Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and guest satisfaction.
• Manage departmental budgets, monitor expenses and control housekeeping stock orders.
• Collaborate with front office, maintenance and F&B teams to deliver a seamless guest experience.
• Oversee relationships with external housekeeping providers.

Required profile

• Passion for hospitality and a genuine desire to create memorable guest moments.
• Detail‑oriented with an eagle‑eye for standards.
• Hands‑on, roll‑up‑your‑sleeves attitude and ability to lead by example.
• Strong communication skills and a collaborative mindset.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Opera or Knowcross (or similar) property management systems.
