Director of Social Content

About the role

The agency is looking for a senior leader to shape and grow its social, creator and influencer offering. Reporting to senior leadership, you will guide strategy, drive new business and ensure award‑winning campaigns for clients across multiple sectors.

Key responsibilities

• Define and lead the agency's social and influencer marketing strategy.
• Drive business growth through new business pitches, client development and market opportunities.
• Lead integrated campaigns across earned, owned, paid and influencer channels.
• Build trusted relationships with senior client stakeholders.
• Champion innovation, emerging platforms, creator partnerships and social‑first thinking.
• Oversee campaign performance, measurement, reporting and optimisation.
• Lead adoption of AI and emerging technologies within social and influencer marketing.
• Develop and mentor a high‑performing team, fostering creativity, collaboration and excellence.
• Stay ahead of cultural trends, platform developments and consumer behaviours.

Required profile

• 10+ years experience leading social media and influencer marketing programmes within an agency or consultancy.
• Proven track record managing senior client relationships and delivering strategic campaigns.
• Experience leading, coaching and developing high‑performing teams.
• Strong commercial awareness and involvement in business development activities.
• Confident presenter of ideas, strategies and recommendations to senior stakeholders.
• Passion for culture, trends, content and the evolving social landscape.

Required skills

• Deep understanding of social platforms and creator ecosystems.
• Strong analytical ability to translate data and insights into actionable strategies.
• Experience with AI and emerging digital technologies.
